„I am supporting this initiative as it is scandalous to see the terrible conditions some animals have been forced to endure during transport for slaughter at abattoirs. Together with the Luxembourg Authorities (namely the Border control authorities) I took action several transport companies on Luxembourg territory which do not respect the EU law.
The fight has to go on. We have to keep up the pressure so that member states respect and control the application of EU animals’ rights laws on their roads.”
